Introduction
In America, we strive to keep our freedom. It is a precious commodity. However, you can walk in the nation’s freedom and follow roads of fear. Chained in anxiety, Christians compromise their rights without much consideration.
How free are you? Even if a teeny tiny worry wiggles into your brain, sweep it out. It is time to surrender. Give each concern over to Christ Jesus. To be a living sacrifice, dying daily, means deleting anxieties and granting the Word full permission to rule.
I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Gal. 2:20
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Rom. 12:1
I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. 1 Cor. 15:31
Let the Word take the reins. Absorb your attention with what matters to the Father. What would this be? All what His Son says.
And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son: hear Him! Lk. 9:35
Hear Him! Access into the Father’s Kingdom is made available through Jesus. Christ Jesus was sacrificed to give you freedom in your mind and body. He gives you an exceeding power to live the abundant life. This isn’t the average, ordinary way of unbelievers, my dear friend.
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power. Eph. 1:19
I am come that thy might have life, and that thy might have it more abundantly. Jn. 10:10
Are you living below the level of His offer? Tolerating worry is like driving with sin. Sin skids the soul out of God’s freeway causing one to live without God’s love and protection. Worry listens to the devil and doesn’t trust God to carry out His Word.
My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. Ps. 89:34
If you are entertaining earthly cares, it will cost you the victory Christ won. Sadly, many are emersed in problems and bypass the Spirit who has power to execute God’s promises. Giving in to temptations of fear, they forsake their freedom and stay in ‘worry’ prisons. They peer out the bars to ponder the wars, rumors and rivals occurring around them.
Yes, the war never ceases. Border invasions threaten our security. Alcohol and drugs corrupt our families. Accusations rob our self-esteem. Anxiety takes our peace. Disease causes death. Friend, if your mind has been ambushed with any of these or other fears, you are missing the message.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life. Luke 12:22
While the fireworks go off, a battle enrages. Celebrating freedom doesn’t eliminate the fact physical and spiritual wars exist. However, there is a shelter where no bombs can shatter your peace. It guarantees no enemy can hold your mind hostage. Remaining in the Word is where this unceasing ability to thrive exists. You will find it in the quiet closet where you and Jesus meet.
If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Jn. 8:31-32
In your personal time with the Lord, He encourages, revives, instructs. No devils can ever rattle your peace when God’s Word defends you. Hold His Word high above anything opposing the truth. Fighting the good fight of faith is planting the flag of His freedom firmly in your mind.
In Summary
Start a good regime by examining your thoughts. Discharge immediately those beliefs unmatched to God’s standards. Concerns will cancel their memberships with your mind. Keeping the Kingdom of God first, freedom to your abundant life will finally arrive.
Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and our life is hid with Christ in God. Col. 3:2-3
Be careful for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds though Christ Jesus. Finaly, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Phil. 4:6-8
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. Jn. 8:36
