A Talk Outside A Tomb

(Please read A Talk Inside A Tomb, my previous post, as groundwork for this message).

Recap

In our last post, women were seen rushing to anoint the precious body of Jesus. Upon arrival, both the boulder and body were miraculously removed. Stunned and perplexed, the spices in their hands no longer held purpose. The cold tomb wrapped bandages of disbelief around their hearts. That is, until angels brushed their senses with understanding. Recalling the words Jesus spoke rolled the cornerstone of faith into place. Faith sprung forth, sending them forth in joy.  Stop for a Selah. Have we not just witnessed a real revival? It wasn’t found in some mysterious cloud of glory, but in changed hearts of confused women. So why linger in this barren cave? Let us continue our conversation where there is light and life.

Also, before we leave, drop any grief and fear into the tomb, they needn’t bother you anymore. What was Jesus doing when he disappeared? Demolishing Satan’s power. This means the evil spirit of emotional distress has been destroyed too. This is why we are getting out of death’s doorway. Dead works are dusting our pure hearts in this place. We don’t belong staring at Satan’s den when we have a risen Lord to gaze at.

With our foundation of faith established in Jesus our Lord, let us go onto perfection.  Will you now join me in fellowship as we take this talk outside the tomb?

Therefore, leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God. Heb. 6:1

Legal and Free

We need to run from this tomb. Run where? To the courtroom. We are going to hear the ruling. Are we in trouble? No, the death sentence has already been completed. All condemnation for our sin has been confirmed cleared. We stand innocent although proven guilty.  Why? Has the judge been duped or paid off? Duped no, paid off yes. Jesus paid for our sin’s debt. The grave can’t hold the gavel down in favor of our judgment. All condemnation, evil dominion and principalities have fully lost their rights.

And Jesus came and said to them, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Matt. 28:18

Jesus disappeared from the tomb to deliver the world from sin. There’s been a shift in power.  Read about it, right in the Holy Scriptures. There is a new government written in laws of grace.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever shall believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Jn. 3:16

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Is. 9:6

We can depend on this leadership. Our representative is Jesus, who reassures us His promises will come to pass. What makes His ruling different from any other? Love.

For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD. Ezek. 12:25

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. Jn. 13:34

Love isn’t a typical governing force. Our legislature would laugh if a politician tried to push the bill of love into the house. What opposition God’s Kingdom presents to earthly minds. Do we not know love is not a weak link but a keg of power?  Need proof?  Just look at the seat of government.

Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God. Lk. 22:69

Jesus reigns from the right side of the Father. The right-hand points to the power of God. Now look at your own seat. Did you know you had one?

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Eph. 2:6

Placed with Purpose

Hold onto your seat! This is important news. You sit in this heavenly place with much purpose. The reign of love is to be enforced on earth, through you. Jesus empowers you to rule through His Word and the power of His name. Ruling over devils, disease and anything destroying the well-being of humankind is a reality long ignored.

Hallowed by thy name. Mt. 6:9

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. 2 Pet. 1:3

And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all. Lk. 6:19

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.Mt.10:8

And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Mt. 10:1

Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. Jn. 16:24

Our reign with Christ has been sadly left in the tomb of theology. God’s truth regarding our authority and power entrusted to us has been left unanswered, unused and undermined. Need confirmation? While we are in the courtroom, let us stay for the reading of the will. It will be sure to get us out of the tomb into living the resurrected life.

To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God. Eph. 3:10

Read the Will

When you read the Bible, both Old and New Testaments reveal God’s will. Remember what testament means. Its definition is tangible proof, belief and a formal written directive for the disposition of one’s property after death, a will.  (see the American Heritage Dictionary of the English language) The Scripture is encased with your inheritance, from Old to New Testament. It is filled with love. Each book points to your Savior. The Father relentlessly delivers His children back into His arms, through His Son. In Christ Jesus is the fulfillment of His divine purpose. When you see Jesus, you see where every provision is placed.

Ignoring their inheritance, Christians skate through life without their benefits. Oh, don’t be disheartened, it is not too late. What excitement occurs when opening the Holy pages! God’s Word is reliable, tangible, written proof of what grace gives you. The mystery of His will is revealed. Heaven’s Kingdom has become yours.

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. Ps. 68:19

Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself. That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will. Eph. 1:9-11.

Heaven Comes to Earth

Do you really possess a palace, housing the government of God? Without much thought, we breeze through this truth in the Lord’s prayer.

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Mt. 6:10

You are an agent in bringing heaven’s presence here on earth. How? By the Word of grace planting faith into your heart and renewing your mind. The written promises give birth, proving God’s love in your daily life. The Spirit is at work, your role is to receive; for an inheritance is never earned. Therefore, God’s will is done on earth by your participation in His inherited promises. When your bankrupt heart receives these hidden treasures, defeat no longer defines your character.

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. Acts 20:32

Perhaps Paul’s encouragement to the Philippians will help clarify this.

Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Phil. 2:12-13.

As a citizen of the Heavenly Kingdom, exercise your rights. Reign with dignity for you are seated in royalty.  His Spirit raised you into His presence; above every demon force and discouraging situation. There are no victims in this administration. I pray the Spirit provides you a new look on your Heavenly status.

Okay, our business is finished in the courtroom. I’m certain you have some personal matters to discuss with the Father. Go now to the Holy throne of grace. Bring your concerns and enter with confidence.

According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: in whom we have boldness and access with confidence, by the faith of him. Eph. 3:11-12.

Having therefore, brethren boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By anew and living way which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh. Heb. 10:19-20

Palms Up And Mouth Open

Approach the Father with your palms up and mouth open. Don’t be afraid to exhibit your neediness. God is waiting to fill your emptiness. Are you afraid your requests are unworthy or shameful?

I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. Ps. 81:10

Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom. Lk. 12:32

If you doubt your desires, submit them to Scripture. Anything disgraceful will be redesigned in grace. If there is sin, the light of Christ will guide you into repentance and renewal of your minds. He does the work; remain in the Word. When your desires are embedded in Christ, no good things will be withheld.  Remember your position. Risen in Christ means you rule above the tomb of dead works. Keep in step with the Spirit, you won’t fulfill the lusts of your flesh. Now, thy will be done.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory; no good things will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Ps. 84:11

Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Ps. 37:4

Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not witholden the request of his lips. Selah. Ps. 21:2

Thou openest thine hand, and satisfies the desire of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them. The Lord preserveth them that love him. Ps. 145:20

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Gal. 5:25

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Gal. 1:16

Pearls for the Poor

We conclude our conversation. You have been enriched with the Word. Guard the pearls of wisdom. Value and virtue came with great price. As you step into the world, Jesus hands you His rod of grace. His Word rules through you; turning crosses into miracles. Waste no time, bring hurting people out of their tombs. Go now, offer dry and thirsty bones the river of life.

Freely ye have received, freely give. Matt. 10:8

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in. Naked, and ye clothes me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren ye have done it unto me. Mt. 25: 34-36, 40.

Conclusion

Today you walked outside a tomb, into the court, deciphered God’s will, set foot into sovereignty and uncovered your petitions before the Father. After meeting your King, His embellished love appoints you to govern by healing the sick, feeding the poor, clothing the naked, raising the dead, casting out devils, comforting hearts, and pouring His inheritance into impoverished souls. What a benefit package, waiting to be delivered into divine appointments.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth o the right hand of Cod. Col. 3:1

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefit: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction, who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies. Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. Ps. 103: 1-6

Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom. O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. 1 Chron. 29:11-2
