We live in the days where frustration filters into our minds from a simple cell phone or computer. Dropping connection is the ultimate dissatisfaction, sending signals of pure disappointment. Do we feel the same remorse when our communication with our Lord Jesus Christ fails?
It appears many believers are suffering needlessly due to a different type of disconnection. Take a break from social media for a brief moment and bring your Bible to the table. Jesus has a message which will certainly change your disposition.
THE VINE OF HEALTH
If Jesus is the vine and you are his branch, it would make sense that you are not connected to fear, sorrow, sickness and disease. Jesus has no such attributes. Allow Him to speak truth before you dispute this message.
I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (Jn. 15:5)
Those disturbing problems you are putting up with come straight from the adversary, Satan, who prowls for prey. Are you ready to divorce this enemy who steals your shalom? When Jesus says He gives you peace, He is referring to shalom. Shalom is the wholeness, prosperity, health and safety derived from Himself.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you, let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid. (Jn. 14:27)
How does this rotten, vile devil dare to seep into your soul and body? By luring you to feast on the wrong vine. Symptoms afflicting you, situations scaring you and sorrows overshadowing you can consume your attention. The distress clogs your ears with carnality making it cumbersome to listen to Christ calling you to Himself. The devil wants to deafen the truth because reception of God’s grace cancels his control.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Mt. 11:28)
SILENCE YOUR SENSES AND SEE YOUR SAVIOR WORK
Silence your senses with the Word. When you refuse to look at the devilish lies drawing attention to yourself, the vine will pour healing and harmony back into your branches.
Your disorders will begin their surrender to the cross where sickness and disease have been destroyed.
That it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. (Mt. 8:17)
Surely he hath borne our griefs (sickness), and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Is. 53:4-5)
Fears you imagine, defined as worry, can be cast down! Trust in the Lord and not the deception screaming into your ears.
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. (2 Cor. 10:5)
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love. (1 Jn. 4:18)
He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies. (Ps. 112: 7-8)
Sadness meets Jesus and your mourning is turned into joy.
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. (Is. 61:3)
WHERE’S THE RIGHT FRUIT?
Are you still wondering why more believers in Jesus are not finding the right fruit on their branches? Perhaps they spend more time dining with the world, hence dismissing their divine appointments. It is time spent in the Word, the secret place with Jesus, where transformation occurs. The Father’s desire is to conform you into His delightful image.
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Cor. 3:18)
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as he is, so are we in this world. (1 Jn. 4:17)
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. (Acts 4:13)
THE RIGHT CONNECTION
Wouldn’t you agree it is time for us all to spend more time with Jesus than getting acquainted with our symptoms, sorrows and fears? We would not be debtors to this mortal flesh as we disconnect from the devil’s disorders. Simply stated, Jesus is our right connection!
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. (Rom. 8:11-12)
Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God. (Phil. 1:11)
