In times past, protective guidance was witnessed in wonder and awe. Hidden power wrapped in clouds, God was present. Clouds, serving as curtains, holding enemies back. Clouds as nightlights, to guide along a dark, dangerous wilderness path.
And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them: And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night. Exodus 14:19-20
Today, the Lord’s direction is received in a different, delightful way. After Jesus was received into the clouds, the Spirit came. God descends like a dove, His voice cooing a love song of promise. Soaring swiftly but gently nestling into hearts of mankind. May we not underestimate this innocent love, when divinity resides within.
And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. Luke 24:49
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld he was taken up: and a cloud received him out of their sight. Acts 1:8-9
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man, That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Ephesians 3:16-21
The same dove diving, nesting and resting, rose Jesus on wings filled with righteous healing. Healing for a broken world, unable to fly without faith. Resurrection power, uniting God and you. The same Spirit of love, breathing life into ashes of the impoverished. Speaking health to sickness, prosperity to the poor, pardon to the transgressor. He has power to lead and power to defeat. The God of creation who lives in clouds, now camps inside His children’s tent. You are his tabernacle. In secret, private corridors Christ gives instruction and direction. Key into these precious promises and step in tune with grace.
But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. Malachi 4:2
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Romans 8:11
And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Matthew 3:16-17
Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 1 John 4:12,14.
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 1 John 2:27
And his soul shall dwell at ease, and his seed shall inherit the earth. The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant. Psalm 25:13-14
For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. Psalm 27:5
Promises for Personal Use
God’s promises are penned for your personal diary. Know them and then own them. Due to ignorance, His benefits are often left outside the door of understanding. Shamefully, God’s children live as paupers, living apart from God’s bounty. Comprehend His will, by hearing His Word. Dive into uncharted waters to discover these hidden treasures. Open the chest of armory, admire the clothes of Christ.
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. 2 Corinthains 1:20
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promises by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. Galatians 3:22
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, ye, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God, Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 1 Corinthians 2:7-12
And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. Isaiah 45:3
Battle Plans
In your secret tent meeting, the Spirit shares battle plans. Revealing the helmet, boots and sword; such equipment heralds Christ. It is all contained in the Spirit of the Word. Defeated demons don’t share rights to your book. They aren’t free to write destruction into your chapters without permission. Be a good student of Scripture. This subject divides theologians into denominations. While no human holds the script, Scripture states Satan has limitations when dealing with us.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:10-17
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil. Hebrews 2:14
And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power, only upon himself put not forth thine hand. Job 1:12
Devil Devices
Devils want to rip off the prosperity Jesus purchased for you. Prowling around your premises they pounce when “whys” become more important than “who”. During times of confusion, trial or affliction, fists hold more questions than faith in Jesus. The tree of knowledge of good and evil proudly demands explanation when trust in the tree of life is sufficient. Stirring reason into the heart springs forth unbelief. The senses are only in tuned with the common, not the uncommon ways of God. The heart’s condition bakes a cake of lies for the mouth to chew. Burnt on the bottom, looking fine on the top. Double-minded doctrines of demons, preaching curses and blessings at once. This is where the tongue does the tango, with hell.
They are all adulterers, as an oven heated by the baker, who ceaseth from raising after he hath kneaded the dough, until it be leavened. Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people. Ephraim is a cake not turned. Hosea 7:4,8
A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. Galatians 5:9
A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:8
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Galatians 5:1
Tongues on Fire
Demons love to dance with your tongue. Licking social standard into the Lord’s truth unlocks hell’s gate. Flocks of doubts enter your mind. Like black ravens, plucking holes into your faith. Shut out this sin before the cracks in the floor of faith widen. Blowing balloons inside your bosom, hot lies will pop from your mouth. Speaking doubt sets fires, yielding disaster. Your threefold nature is infected with sin’s disease. Protection now compromised, peace slips off the soul and into dark corners.
And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity, so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. James 3:6
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John. 10:10
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. Romans 6:13
During downfalls as such, be contrite and confess your error. Refrain from kicking the bucket or yielding your members to be played in the symphony of sin. Always turn to Jesus who cleanses, heals and restores. His cross bore all curses to make you whole.
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:4-5
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. James 1:21
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14
When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. Matthew 8:16-17
Conclusion
Power Beyond Understanding
Upon exiting into eternal life, you have been equipped with the same power which raised Jesus from the dead. It is contained in the Word of God. In your secret tent meetings, God will share the truth of who you are as you walk with Him triumphantly. Be warned, when flying the flag high, wondrous acts can woo your senses. Lopsided focus sets the Lord aside. Be loyal in faith. Let your flagpole only raise Jesus Christ. He will lend on this truth: your name written in heaven rides higher than demons you defeat.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Ephesians 3:20
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1John 4:4
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. Luke 10:17-20
