What Book is Your Belief Publishing?

Maybe you haven’t thought much about being an author.  Well, Scripture says you have the gift of writing.

My tongue is the pen of a ready writer. (Ps. 45:1)

What is your tongue writing today?  If the book of your beliefs was in print, would it be filled with complaints of sorrow, pain, disease or fear?  Publishing such discouragement would describe the devil’s work while demoting God’s promises.

We all are guilty of promoting conditions that are not works empowered by God. When I realized I was confessing the evil one’s maneuvers over manifesting the glory of God, I admitted my sin. Now I closely examine my speech, ensuring I exalt our risen Lord.

I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me. (Ps. 39:1)

Ponder this point: each spoken word supports God’s truth or the devil’s lies.  Throw each thought into your heart and you have a belief system.  Perhaps your beliefs are brewing a pot of problems instead of God’s promises.  When pouring problems into your mind, deceit has a pathway into your heart. It may surprise you, but the root poisoning your pot could be coming from the pulpit.

Are You Listening to the World or the Word?

My friend, if your heart is sick with insecurity, condemnation, judgmentalism, sorrow, depression, sickness or anxiety, you might be exposed to legalism. Legalism is doing good works or by obeying the law, a person earns and merits salvation.  Disobedience to the law links one to curses. Christians are not under the law nor are to carry around these curses.  If you are uncertain what curses Jesus freed you from, see Deut. 28:15-68.  When you review what Jesus has made atonement for, you will see the full range of untouched benefits.  Many believers bear curses that Jesus bore for them.  This is the aftermath of legalistic teaching.  Believers can have a belief system supporting the law instead of the liberty Christ paid for.

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree. (Gal. 3:13)

Ministers must feed you Jesus. Otherwise, it is a poisonous pot to be partaking in.  Our Father’s will is for you to hear His Son, the Word.

This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, hear ye him. (Matt. 17:5)

How to eliminate legalism: Take the “L” (legalism) out of the world and you have the Word.

Avoid legalistic doctrine.  Watch out for religiosity mixing the Law into the Word. You end up in the world instead of in the Word.  Preachers may start out with grace but add a dash of works into their sermons.  Those serving dangerous doctrines will find themselves with plagues.

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book.  If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. (Rev. 22:18)

I truly believe the devil twists the Word to harm God’s people. He knows that when fed the true Word of grace, our hearts will be filled with faith.  Faith to see Jesus, providing all who believe His precious promises in the Word. Guard this grace, for it is how God chooses to give you all good things.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory. No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. (Ps. 84:11)

Guard Your Heart with God’s Word

My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.  Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. (Prov. 7:2-3)

{As you read the verse above or any Old Testament references to the law, remember, Jesus fulfilled the letter of the law, granting you full access to God’s goodness.  The only work New Testament believers are to do is to believe.

Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. (Jn. 6:29)}

In Jesus we are to live in His promises. A life in Christ has a deeper meaning than just existing.

The Hebrew definition of life in Strong’s Concordance means being revived from sickness, discouragement, faintness and death. It is to live prosperously!

Wouldn’t you agree, this is a life based in grace?  There are no curses included in the description.  It is so exciting to gain more knowledge in Jesus and begin receiving all He died for.

Let Your Lips Line Up with The Lord

Therefore, as you continue to grow in the knowledge of grace, let your lips line up with the Lord. Why be double minded and dose your heart with ailing conditions? Tell yourself that grace is God’s willingness to perform His promises through Jesus Christ. It doesn’t mean you have to have evidence to see before you believe.

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. (2 Pet. 3:18)

A Cane for Blind Faith

Write your book when you are blind.  After all you can’t see a promise.  Your reliance is simply on your Savior not the wilderness you are currently in. Therefore, talk about your promise instead of your problem.  The Word says He will perform what He promises.

And being fully persuaded that what He had promised, He was able also to perform. (Rom. 4:21)

When you live by this kind of faith, it is like walking with a white cane. This cane is Jesus, guiding you through dark seasons into His promised land. You will be the first to tell others how He promises to be there when all other props fail. Maybe you appear quite fanatic and miss out on the popular vote, but you are living proof of God’s lovingkindness, sadly lacking in many pulpits and pews.  So, dare take up your pen, the world needs to replace its letter of Legalism with the letter of God’s Love.

For we walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Cor. 5:7)

Conclusion: Write Your Book with the Clarity of Christ

Jesus needs you to be the full expression of His love today.  The world is confused enough and needs the clarity of who Jesus Christ is.  If you are still unsure of all He is and offers, continue to read the Bible. This is how you gain strength in grace and intimacy with God.  When unable to comprehend that His promises are for you, allow the Word to work out your unbelief.  Don’t worry, the Holy Spirit will illuminate your heart and clear its slate from errors. The more you are with Jesus, the more grace and peace you will receive.  It’s like a multiplication table in your heart.

Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. (2 Tim. 2:1)

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord. (2 Pet. 1:2)

As you live in this liberty of God’s grace, remember, you are an author even if you don’t write blogs or books.  You have no time to ride the hands of the world’s clock.  When your tongue becomes like a pen, ready to witness for Jesus, confidently publish your book of beliefs.  People need these pages of truth, proclaiming God’s grace and power to save.

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. (1 Tim. 4:16)

Whereof I was made a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. (Eph. 3:7)
